The internal quality assurance system in higher education is important and must be implemented by all higher education institutions based on Law No. 12 of 2012 concerning Higher Education, Permenristekdikti No. 62 of 2016 concerning Higher Education Quality Assurance System, Permenristekdikti No. 44 of 2015, National Higher Education Standards, Permendikbud RI No. 3 of 2020 concerning National Higher Education Standards, and Permenristekdikti No. 32 of 2016, Study Program Accreditation and Higher Education institution accreditation.
The implementation and implementation of the quality assurance system is a decisive aspect to improve the competitiveness of higher education.
The Higher Education Quality Assurance System aims to ensure the fulfillment of Higher Education Standards systemically and continuously, so that a culture of quality grows and develops.
The Higher Education Quality Assurance System functions to control the implementation of higher education by universities to realize quality higher education.
The Higher Education Quality Assurance System consists of: Internal Quality Assurance System (SPMI); and External Quality Assurance System (SPME).
SPMI is planned, implemented, controlled, and developed by higher education institutions.
SPME is planned, implemented, controlled, and developed by the National Accreditation Board for Higher Education (BAN PT) and/or Independent Accreditation Institution (LAM).
This Policy Document on SPMI is intended as:
- The basis for every activity within the Postgraduate Program at the University of Mataram in carrying out its services and functions in accordance with predetermined standards.
- The University of Mataram Postgraduate Program is committed to maintaining and improving the quality of university administration on an ongoing basis, referring to the National Higher Education Standards to realize the vision and mission of the University of Mataram Postgraduate Program, and meeting the needs of stakeholders through the implementation of the Tridharma of Higher Education.
- Media to communicate about SPMI that applies at Postgraduate University of Mataram to users.
The output of the implementation of SPMI by the Postgraduate Program of Universitas Mataram is used by BAN-PT or LAM for determining the accredited status and ranking of study programs.
