Science Education Doctoral Program Officially Opened

Mataram, Universitas Mataram – After a long wait, Universitas Mataram (Unram) was finally able to open a Doctoral Program in Natural Science Education (PIPA).
Through the Decree of the Minister of Education, Culture, Research and Technology (Mendikbudristek) Number 40/E/O/2022 concerning Permission to Open a Doctoral Program in Natural Science Education Study Program at Mataram University in Mataram City dated January 24, 2022, Unram officially has a second doctoral study program after the doctoral study program in Law.

Postgraduate Director, Prof. Ir. M. Sarjan, M.Ag. CP., Ph.D. is very grateful for the issuance of the permit for the Doctoral Study Program in Natural Science Education. “Alhamdulillah, after going through a process of about 2 years, finally the operational permit decree for the Science Education Doctoral Study Program under the Unram Postgraduate Program was issued,” said Prof. Sarjan. Prof. Sajan also thanked the Rector of Unram Prof. Dr. Lalu Husni, SH, M.Hum and his staff who have committed to supporting the operational process of the second doctoral program at Unram. Not to forget, the professor of the Faculty of Agriculture also congratulated the team. Task Force who have successfully prepared all the documents and needs in processing the operational permit for the Science Education Doctoral Study Program.

Prof. Sarjan hopes that the S3 PIPA study program will become a superior doctoral program with its uniqueness based on ecotourism which is an icon of NTB Province.
“With the existence of the PIPA S3 study program, it is hoped that the people of NTB will have an alternative to continue their studies, no longer need to go outside the region because it is already available in NTB,” he said.
“Hopefully this new study program will be able to become our pride in Postgraduate Unram and the people of NTB, especially educators in NTB and even in Eastern Indonesia,” he added.
It is planned that the PIPA S3 Study Program will immediately accept new students in the even semester of 2022/2023.
Therefore, it is expected that prospective students will immediately register themselves through online which has been opened on the Unram website.
