The development of science and technology literate human resources is a necessity, and the world of education, especially higher education, has a very vital and strategic role.
The positive response of the community to the mastery of science and technology and education is the basic capital of the Postgraduate Program of the University of Mataram to open new study programs, especially the doctoral level.
The establishment of the Science Education Doctoral Study Program is an answer to the desires and needs of the community.
The Postgraduate Science Education Doctoral Study Program at the University of Mataram was officially established in 2022 with the establishment permit of the Directorate General of Diktiristek Number 40/E/O/2022 and has been accredited by BAN-PT.

The Science Education Doctoral Study Program with the uniqueness of “Ecotourism-based Contextual Science Learning” is a doctoral program that has the potential to develop uniqueness that has not been developed elsewhere.
Graduates of the Postgraduate Science Education Doctoral Study Program at the University of Mataram are oriented to become “professional science educators” and “honest, responsible, creative, and innovative science education researchers” who are competent and competitive locally, nationally, and internationally.
With an implementation system designed semi by research, students are only required to study theory for one semester and the rest do dissertation research, potentially completing the study within four semesters.
This system will ease and become a solution for students, especially those who have constraints such as work, family and financing for lecturers, teachers, agency employees and other users.

Continuous improvement of quality output in accordance with the Academic Rules stipulated by the Directorate General of Higher Education, BAN-PT, LAMDIK, BSNP, University of Mataram, Postgraduate Program, and Doctoral Program in Science Education as outlined in the University of Mataram Postgraduate Academic Implementation Guidelines.
  3. Continuous improvement of the quality of student dissertations and the ability of students to write scientific articles in accredited national journals, international journals, and reputable international journals.
  4. Provide research and community service funds in a sustainable and proportional manner to lecturers of the Science Education Doctoral Program whose activities involve students.
