About Doctor of Science Education Postgraduate Program, University of Mataram

The Doctor Study Program of Science Education has a vision to develop Science and Health Education Contextual Insightful Ecotourism Internationally Competitive, as well as two concentration science, namely Science Education and Public Health and Environmental Education. Profile graduates are Educator and Researcher. An Educator covers developer and practitioner education (lecturers, teachers, instructors, and extension workers). We provide a track college, namely Course-Work and Research Paths, with a duration of six semesters. This Curriculum is designed to promote students with a deep understanding of development science education and learning, with a focus on results-based study development, and the latest developments in the field of science education, public health, and environmental science, which are innovative. Some subject main for course-work pathways include: 1) Insightful Science Learning Ecotourism, 2) Philosophy of Education and Research Design, 3) Trends in Science Education Research, 4) Trends in Public Health and Environmental Education Research, and 5) Innovation Contextual Science Learning Insightful Ecotourism, and 6) Innovation in Public Health & Environmental Education Contextual Insightful Ecotourism. Next, some subject main for research-paths, includes: 1) Seminar I Dissertation Theme (Literature review -1 – Issues in Science Education / Public Health & Environment), and 2) Seminar II Dissertation Theme (Literature review-2 – Issues in Research Trends in Science Education / Public Health & Environment).

  1. Continuous improvement of learning services according to international standards through the implementation of Standard Operating Procedures (POB) Quality Assurance of Postgraduate Program, University of Mataram.
  2. Continuous improvement of quality output in accordance with the Academic Rules stipulated by the Directorate General of Higher Education, BAN-PT, LAMDIK, BSNP, University of Mataram, Postgraduate Program, and Doctoral Program in Science Education as outlined in the University of Mataram Postgraduate Academic Implementation Guidelines.
  3. Continuous improvement of the quality of student dissertations and the ability of students to write scientific articles in accredited national journals, international journals, and reputable international journals.
  4. Provide research and community service funds in a sustainable and proportional manner to lecturers of the Science Education Doctoral Program whose activities involve students.
